Another week, another huge update. This time, there are three amazingly awesome songs from three unbelievably talented artists for you to download. And, please remember to comment on which code you’ve used, because they can only be redeemed once. I can not stress this enough! Thanks.
Sara Bareilles – I Choose You
Valerie June – You Can’t Be Told
Kasey Musgraves – Follow Your Arrow
Let’s get one thing out of the way. Blurred Lines is one of those songs that’s amazing the first time you hear it. After the bajillionth time, it becomes annoying and extremely pesky.
With that being said, Lisa Lavie has done it again. Not only does she sound magnificent covering the song, but she actually took the time to re-create the video, frame for frame. Another job well done, Ms. Lavie.
The greatest music video to grace the internet.
After watching the music video for their latest single, Hopeless Wanderer, I’m actually speechless. And here I thought MGMT and Vampire Weekend made interesting music videos. Thoughts?
I’ve been following Mr. Asher Roth for a very long time. I went to his jam with one of my really good friends (Lora – go follow her on Twitter!) and he is even better live.
Two weeks ago, Roth released his mixtape, appropriately titled The Greenhouse Effect – Volume 2, and it is just as good as his previous efforts, if not better.
Check out his latest effort below (it also features a freestyle rap of Robin Thicke’s - Blurred Lines – GENIUS!!)
Did Ms. Clarkson have a baby and name it Alanis Morisette Jr.? Because that’s what she would sound like if she did.
Best song ever.
Here’s a cover of a song that I first liked, and now I’m obsessed. #BEAUTIFUL is Mariah Carey’s best recent song, and Lisa Lavie does a fantastic job of covering it. The video is cheesy as hell, but I’m here just for the voices.
Check it out below!
Listen, I know we’ve heard this song a million times, and most of us are probably sick of it by now. But you gotta listen to this cover, done by the one and only Jake Barker. It’s safe to say this is his best cover yet.
Check it out below!
I never thought any Vampire Weekend song would be able to dethrone I Think Ur A Contra, but boy, was I wrong. Diane Young is 2 minutes and 44 seconds of pure delicious. And it doesn’t help that the music video is monumentally epic. If you don’t have 3 minutes to spare and drown in this music video, then you, my friend, are stupid.
Check it out below.
If there is one song I just can’t get enough of currently, it’s Kelly Clarkson’s People Like Us. It’s extremely catchy and makes you want to hit the closest karaoke bar. While the song is great, the video is just a pile of meh. Some highlights are the Nokia Lumia 920 making an appearance in yellow and Clarkson dressed in lab technician’s garbs, complete with black chunky Wayfarers. Nice.
