Starbucks Pick of the Week: Bruno Mars – If I Knew

At first, I couldn’t stand Locked Out of Heaven. It got on my nerves. But after my sister kept playing it nonstop, it finally grew on me. Everytime I hear it, I bust out in song and dance. I can’t help it. And Unorthodox Jukebox is a pretty awesome album.

Anyways, the Starbucks Pick of the Week is Bruno Mars’ If I Knew. It’s a pretty good track. Not as good as Locked Out of Heaven, but still good nonetheless. SoundHound/Halftone – Starbucks Pick of the Week

Two brand spanking new apps for you to download for FREE this week! The first one is SoundHound, and is extremely similar to Shazam. It basically identifies a song that you tag and gives you the artist, track name, album, YouTube links, lyrics, etc. I personally prefer Shazam, but for a premium app that goes for $5.99, grab it! The second app is called Halftone, and according to their website, “Halftone turns your photos into unique, vintage comics that friends and family will love! More than a simple “photo filter” app, Halftone makes it easy to add paper styles, captions, speech balloons, graphic stamps, and fonts (including built-in comic fonts).” It sounds like a fun, less serious version of Instagram. Instead of paying $0.99 for the app, Starbucks is offering it for free.

Draw Something – Starbucks Pick of the Week

Starbucks Pick of the Week: PBS Kids WordGirl/Kathleen Edwards – Chameleon (Comedian)

So I was recently in Chicago for four days during LUSH’s Development Days, and it was fantastic!!! But more on that later…

While I was picking up my usual caffeine fix for the day (a Venti Americano Misto with soy milk and two pumps of Raspberry Syrup, in case you were wondering…), I noticed a new Starbucks Pick of the Week. I guess iTunes has partnered with various TV stations and app developers to release free episodes of your favourite TV shows and apps. The TV episode that was offered this week was PBS Kids WordGirl (meh) and apparently, it can only be redeemed in the USA.
